    Default What would you do?

You are lying in bed at night, no lights on (not even street lights glowing through the windows for those of us in the cities) when all of a sudden a slightly spooky voice that is clearly supernatural, starts calling your name from an echoing distance.

Would you get up and follow the voice to see what it is, or would you bury yourself deeper in your blanket hoping it will go away?

I see this topic does not relate to me.
This could not possibly happen to me. Supernatural is entirely unexistant to me.

If the voice was just unexplainable it could be possible. In which case I'd investigate, obviously. It's my name after all.

None. I would sit and try to hear it as much as I can. I do believe in the supernatural so I would be a bit scared. I've experienced something similar before and all I did was just sit and wait for the next thing I sensed.

Oh come on, it's a purely hypothetical situation.

It's like imagining you were a wizard and could turn someone into a toad, something our inner child should find easy.

Unexplainable/supernatural, a hop, skip and a step away.

I do not have such an inner child. Anyhow, you have my answer, no?

People tend to label everything they don't understand to be supernatural. That is something I am incapable of doing.

Unexplainable, most likely quantifiable. Interesting, must investigate. Is what I would label it. Saying something is supernatural, to me, is laziness.

So. I'm lying in my bed, right? In my bed located on the fourth floor in my tiny apartment? Not likely to get a spooky voice calling me inside there.

Of course I'd check it out where it is coming from. If it's coming from outside my front door then I'd get a baseball bat and do some fun action movements with it to show any kind of idiot who dares to bother me when I'm sleeping. If there's nobody there, then yeah, spooky. Meh.

If I was living in a huge castle and the voice was indeed echoing from some distant corner of the tallest tower? That would be fun. I'd still get my bat

Damn it, even in a playful thread my laziness is exposed once again. :steam:

I'm not lazy, just laid back.

But I was talking about my potential laziness, not yours.

Clearly, the definition of something which is obviously subjective, may not per se be the same to you as it is to me?
