I sort of understand the cognitive hierarchy, but are the suggested 4 for each type always supposed to be the most used ones in each individual? Ever since I began posting here I would say you all suggest not. Check my sig. All I know is apparently I'm Ne > Fi > Ni > Ti but INFP suggests Fi > Ne > Si >Te... I may need to take that test again though...because I do think I use Te more than Ti..but I'm unsure.

IMO only the first two functions are needed.

...I think these kinds of things over-analyze and complicate everything. I read on page one someone saying their functions changed depending on what mood they were in. I'm too lazy to go quote it though.

Based on the raw strengths of each of the functions...

    Ti - Ne - Fi - Si - Ni - Fe - Se - Te

It's rare for that test to suggest the type I think I am, but it did suggest ENTJ for me this time, followed by INTJ, and uh, ESFP

I've questioned this as well. The first two definitely seem to be rather prevalent among people in each type, but let's keep in mind that people are not exactly in the middle of each type, and somewhere on a spectrum. Perhaps we could gather a survey of a generalized hierarchy and get enough respondents for a statistically significant average for each type. Hmm.. but then maybe we should also account for the percentage scores for each of the MBTI traits as well, and factor this into a formula. Hmm..
