Love Kandee Johnson's makeup tutorials. She has a whole Halloween series, too.
She's the exact reason why I decided to do Edward Scissorhands! She's absolutely amazing!

    I've just bought:

(the silver one) Colt 1886 Cavalry

Black holster, side draw and ornamental ammo

Sheriff's star (although I might just go as a regular cowboy/gambler)

    Black hat

These I have or will borrow and use:

Vest and shirt. PS, this is not me in the picture. Just googled this one to give you an idea.

Cowboy boots, sort of like these ones. Will borrow from my dad.

Will bring to the huge-ass party (probably around 50 or more people) me and a few friends are throwing on a mountain top house outside town:

I'll donate around 50 of these suckers to the bar

A cowboy can't be without his bourbon.

I'll also bring an open fire frying pan, lots of eggs, bacon, beans in tomato sauce and chili spice.

    This is where we'll be:

What you can't see in the picture is that it's resting on a piece of flat ground about 250-300 meters up on a mountain with a freakishly awesome view of the city for miles around.
To the right if the picture would have extended that far, there are a few fireplaces, toilets etc.

    This Halloween will be AWESOME!

I'm going to drill a hole through a medium size potato and pull an elastic band through it. Then I'll wear a normal outfit and string the elastic band through the belt loops, leaving the potato in the front of my pecker. When people ask me what my costume is I'll them I'm a "dic-tator."

This Halloween I will be en route home from Denmark, so I'll miss all the parties and don't feel motivated to come up with a new costume. I will get home in time for tirck-or-treaters, so if I am not asleep by then and feel ambitious enough to dress up, I'll probably just wear my pirate stuff.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Yeah, it really isn't as creative as I was last year. I went as Persephone, and did a homemade toga, plus a black scarf to go along with it. I really wanted to go as Kate Bush in her Wuthering Heights video this year, but I lack a white skirt to do it the right way. The other idea I've got is to go as a bohemian, using a peasant blouse with a black skirt, scarf/wrap tied around the waist, and wear a scarf over my head. If it's going to be cool outside on Halloween, I think I might opt for the bohemian costume.

I'm not much of a Halloween person. A couple years ago a friend of mine had an "offensive halloween party". The goal was to be as heartless or offensive as possible. She dressed up as a VT student with various bullet wounds in her. I dressed up as Michael Vick with a "dead" stuffed pitbull covered in fake blood.

But I wasn't allowed to eat candy as a kid, so I never really dressed up for halloween when I was little. Don't see much of a point to it now.
