    Okay this just happened, finally!

    Logic VS Emotions
    Battle 1
    Who will win?

E=Ahhhh a bug! Run Away Run Away
    L=What are ya yella?
    E=yes, yes I am- bugs= germs = disgusting =fear
L= get a hold of yourself ya bum and kick that bug's a%%
E-but I am too scared! I have a legitimate fear-must run away and never return to house! Everything is going down to hell- I want to just live in a bubble!
L= but you love your house- plus you've got to face your fear- think of the baby-if you can't defend your house- who will? Your husband can't be home all the time to save you. Ya bum.
E= I know you're right but it is so disgusting! Eeewwwwwww!!!!!
L= you can do it, stop being a cry baby! Just do it- a hero is not one who is fearless- a hero is one who concurs their fears usually for the sake of someone else- think of the unborn children!
E =All right all right - I'll do it I'll do it- starting to cry as I say this
EL= It's dead- we did it! We are the champions!

My logical side really does talk and sound just like Burgess Meredith- some might find that weird but it seems perfectly natural to me.

Actually, I sometimes type out arguments to myself, but only about things that are very much bothering me/private. I guess that's the closest thing to a diary I have.

It usually goes emotion vs reason or impulse vs practicality. Both sides get very vicious at times. Usually logic is the mean one though.

My emotional side won the last battle easily. It usually wins in matters of emotion.

Our emotional side will beat out the logical side for example. It's true and it isn't crazy that is just an unfounded myth.
I used to argue with myself, but then I realized it's kinda like kicking your own butt isn't it?

Then I realized that arguing with ones self is not logically consistent or productive. I input data from multiple perspectives, including feeling-oriented data. The arguing with yourself approach just seems to be too filled with needless mental tension.

The title of this thread makes me laugh!

And I've had that bug fight with myself, nearly word for word. :P

    That made my night.

I have this fight whenever I encounter a Hobo spider, which is sadly very often. They are giant buggers compared to the native spiders and they are very aggressive and fast.

And this is what a Hobo bite looks like.

Now wouldn't you say that is a worthy fear for even a guy?

Yuck! Don't try to kill that thing, call someone out to deal with it. That thing is dangerous! You don't dare seriously try to get near that thing, do you?! If they're common in your area, consider moving.

I put out traps in the guest bedroom at my grandparent's house when I usually visit every two weeks. Every time I go back to visit I find 10-15 of them in each trap. If I watch TV in the dark then chances are usually good that I will see one scurrying across the carpet. If you live anywhere in the Northwest then you can't get away from them. I've received a dry bite or two, which despite lacking venom still hurt like a sting. Their venomous bites are very seldom fatal, but they can put you out of commission for a week and leave one helluva scar.

They've got to be coming in from somewhere. You can't shore up the entrances they might be finding?

That's really dangerous though. You don't want scars, and you certainly don't want to be bedridden. Are you going to get away from the northwest as soon as possible? I would. Yikes! And I'm scared of Waterbugs... I would probably scream, and jump out of a second-story window to get away from one of those things.

X: you've read your email and visited your favourite websites: time to work!
Y: noo, work is too hard.
X: but you have to do it. You can think it's a game if you just start.
Y: I can't pretend. I enjoy surfing much more. Work needs concentration.
X: well you've been paid well if you do it, what more do you expect?
Y: They won't pay me fully anyway. I know it.
X: How do you know it?
Y: I'm always being screwed in these kind of things.
X: That's silly, and you should start now anyway!
Y: Yeah I know, but I'm hoping to find an excuse not to work.
X: You can't postpone your duties indefinetly.
Y: Just this morning, until the time I feel like working.
X: But you rarely feel like working.
    Y: But I do, sometimes.
X: You'll have to pay bills before it.
    Y: I know, I know.. what should I do?
X: Start working right now. As I said, think of it like a game, or challenge.
    Y: Blah, I guess so. But I don't believe in self-motivation anymore. It's just a trick.
    X: Whatever.
Y: I'll take a shower and have breakfast.

Me: You messed it up, you know.
    Me: Yes, I know. *sigh*
    Me: Anyway. I forgive you.
    Me: Thanks.
