Kirsten Dunst, mostly because of her cooler, calmer demeanor.

I'd say it's subjective, though, because my main reason for not preferring Reese Witherspoon is because she reminds me too much of my own intensity and lack of calmness (much more obvious in person, trust me). In other words, she reminds me of my flaws.

Can I take back my vote...

For some reason I had Renée Zellweger in my head when I read Reese Witherspoon ...

    Renée all the way.

I don't mind either that much, but legally blonde is one of those nice movies...

Neither. Kirsten Dunst is not that hot (although she hit her prime in Spiderman), and Reese Witherspoon leaves a lot to be desired.

I guess Kirsten Dunst. She seems a little more complex. I think I've liked more movies with her, although Reese Witherspoon was good in Election. They both are pretty plain & nothing special looks-wise.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

+1 she really was...loved that movie.
