I got you compeletely, US is suppressing research in the possitive aspects of MJ.... and loads of money spend on researching the bad bits....

What I said was that in Europe that is far less true - the pros and the cons are researched. There are sufficient arguments/money invested on both sides we'd get to a stalemate.. Withing the UK there are pressure groups in favour legalising it, but since the relaxing of implimenting the possesion laws it's likely to keep eveyone reasonably happy without full blown public scandal per sey... Which I think is a pretty powerful solution... (it's illegal but we wont enforce it)... there is a big emphasis on drug driving at the moment..

But from a rational perspective, don't let your views of your government blind you to the scale of the problems with regular use... just ask around people who use - they are pretty open about the symptoms...

Imagine if instead of using the euphemism, "recreational use", we used the words, "sex drug".

    It would frighten the horses.

Oh, I know plenty of stoners. For some reason they're all mostly the artist-type (plenty of NFs too), and it seems to do wonders for them. My one friend is a bit flaky, so I inquired if smoking has shortened his memory. His reply: "I've always had horrible short-term memory".

Really? Do you know how much demand there is for sex-enhancers? Hell, maybe we should tell legalization groups that this is their best angle! Viagra was a virtual godsend for Pfizer in the 90's. Not to mention that the majority of spam mail is regarding cialis or other "herbal viagra". Aphrodisiacs aren't exactly taboo anymore. I also doubt your claim that marijuana is popular primarily because of its relationship with sexual activity.

When they hit late 20' early 30's they can be a bit of a mess - then the symptoms bite a bit harder... But that pretty prolonged use.

Trouble with MJ is it's not like other recreational drugs, people don't tend to stop because they don't see it as a drug, without noticing they wake up with a 10 year history of it... it's easy done

Now here's a good place for my first post on this forum.

I got real interested in drugs when I was about 14, purely for academic reasons... I found them fascinating, especially the psychedelics. Naturally after a year or so of reading extensively about them it occurred to me that I ought to try them, and in the intervening years I've become quite a respectable psychonaut.

My opinion is that drugs are a relatively safe and enjoyable hobby so long as they are enjoyed responsibly. Being responsible with drugs means being informed about the drug you are doing, knowing your body's potential response to the chemical, and being mindful and intelligent about your situation and environment. This means different things for different kinds of drugs, but it can be applied universally.

I'll try just about anything so long as I research it beforehand, and I've gotten around to just about everything (possibly 30 to 40 different psychotropics). Socially I smoke a lot of weed and drink with my friends, and my better friends and I use more intense drugs occasionally. With regards to psychedelics I use them both for recreational and introspective/spiritual purposes.

I have tons of experiences and stories I can share, but I'm already feeling longwinded and dull. I've tried just about everything except heroin (albeit many, many other opiates) and am a bonafide walking talking compendium of facts about psychoactives due to my unhealthy, enduring fascination with them. If anyone has any questions or wants to hear about any particular drug (or class of drugs), shoot.

Well, she seems informed. I'm leagues away from having a drug-related Youtube channel though. For me it's mostly a hobby I practice with some of my friends, accompanied by a pretty intense academic fascination. I took an independent study which basically consisted of writing fiction and essays about drugs in my senior year of high school.

    Drugs I've tried

    Alcohol -

Positives - Unlike most drugs, tastes good and gives you something to do, you drink it which is a positive to me

Reduces stress and lets you enjoy the moment more, seems to slow things down yet time will slip away faster while under the influence

Gives you confidence but doesn't necessarily eliminate fear unless consumed in larger amounts

Negatives, Aggression this is a big one, if it hasn't happened to you yet, its only a matter of time (or a matter of how much you drink or mix it with) that some scenario will play out that is highly unfavorable, some of the most disgusting violent behavior happens when people are on alcohol, it doesn't bring out the best in people

Throwing Up - This happens if you have alcohol that doesn't agree with you or have too much

    7/10

    Pot -

Positives - Good to chill and trip out on, doesn't necessarily need other people to be enjoyed, quite introspective and enjoyable

Negatives - Paranoia can be funny if its good weed or really bad if its not
You have to smoke it which can harm your lungs

    5/10

And finally the best for last...

    Ecstasy -

Positives - A sense of euphoria, music sounds better, lights look amazing, fear and anxiety are eliminated

Intimate deep conversations flow easy, you connect with people much better and gives you energy to last the night

Negatives - Cannot be taken as often, recommended wait on use it about 1 month, but waiting longer will increase your serotonin levels and give you a better experience next time, damaging if taken in high doses or too often

    9/10
