The things that are important to you may differ greatly from the things that are important to me. :P
I combine posting here with work. Work is not suffering, I just have a very 'bit of that, bit of this, thingy there, thingy here' kind of job. :P
I never specified anything, I gave a vague kind of definition that can be applied elsewhere, which you did. The difference in whatever we find important is irrelevant in this case.
However, what you define as important is kind of... ummm... subjective? It could be anything that might have a negative consequence to you. People might find themselves to be blind to some of these important things, that is where addiction can strike more subtly.

I am, however, addicted to procastination, and one vehicle of it becomes this site, so....then, things may get muddy. But, as it's not the site, just my procastination, that I'm addicted to, it doesn't count with regards to the OP.
Hard to gauge that. I'll be obsessed for a day, then I'll just go do my shit and not even think about it, then I'll go back and get consumed, then I'm fine without it.
A 5 maybe? Dunno.
