Man, doesn't losing your smokes make you really want a cigarette?

    YES! Agh!
I usually want one whenever I drink, when I'm under a lot of stress, or if I'm hanging out with people and they start smoking. Since I don't really hang out with people (who smoke), it's just the first two.

And the reason a pack of smokes has lasted me a year before was because when I was 16, I would have to smoke while my dad was out of the house, bury the cigarette butt, take a shower and start a load of laundry or else he would smell it a mile away. So, I had to REALLY REALLY want it, then.

Lately, a pack lasts 6 months.
Though thrown into banality, this is not who I am, not who I meant to be. I find my answers in my dreams.

"All love, like fame, is fleeting, when there's no hope anymore."

only I can understand. You live with the threat of my extinction, I live with it too."

hahaha. This reminds me of the other day when my friend said "the smell of other people smoking is so bad that I just have to smoke a cigarette when I'm around them."

I had them with me when I ran errands today. Looking back, I think I might have left them on the dashboard. Usually, they go right back in my bag, but I was driving so I threw them up there for a minute...and I cannot find them anywhere.

My first thought is that my husband, driving the car to work, saw them on the dash and did something with them. He wouldn't want me smoking if he knew. So, I can't very well ask, "Did you dispose of my cigarettes?"

I'm so mad! I have turned the house inside out. Nothing.

    :steam:

It's good that they are gone. Now you can stop smoking.

    good luck, man.
I've noticed a pattern that invariably makes me falter. It's cool all-or-nothing parties that stretch out till 9AM with alcohol involved. So I'm conscious about drinking too much at those too. And I stop drinking expresso which goes soo well with cigs.

Quote from an article I just stumbled on-

I think one of the main reasons its so hard to quit smoking is because all the benefits of quitting and all the dangers of continuing seem very far away. Well, heres a little timeline about some of the more immediate effects of quitting smoking and how that will affect your body RIGHT NOW.

    * In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal.
    * In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal.
    * In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level.
    * In 72 hours your bronchial tubes will relax, and your energy levels will increase.
    * In 2 weeks your circulation will increase, and it will continue to improve for the next 10 weeks.
    * In three to nine months coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will dissipate as your lung capacity improves by 10%.
    * In 1 year your risk of having a heart attack will have dropped by half.
    * In 5 years your risk of having a stroke returns to that of a non-smoker.
    * In 10 years your risk of lung cancer will have returned to that of a non-smoker.
    * In 15 years your risk of heart attack will have returned to that of a non-smoker.

Amazing, BlackCat. I could never smoke, it just doesn't make sense to me and it's so gross.

An ESTP who doesn't smoke? I figured if any type was going to get into some kind of addictive substance, it would be the kind of people who are totally open about indulging in and appreciating sensual pleasures. Come to think of it, I DO see more ISxJ types smoking than ESxP types...
