    I voted for Option 1.

I don't have many hobbies so I don't need to have large sums of money.

Although Option 2 would be amusing in its own way -- I love the idea of teasing poor people by dangling $1,000 bills inches above their reach!

    Number one easily.

Option 2. I do not want to be in charge of anything. That is too much responsibility.

Being liked and receiving lots of money is adequate for me. I do not mind being a lackey. I was almost born for it.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

There are far more options, realistically, than 100% slave or 100% master. I have trouble thinking of anything that even DOES fit the extremes. Even authors who write their own books (and "do their own thing") still have to negotiate with the publisher and don't have 100% total control over what they write. But it's still a lot of freedom involved... certainly enough freedom for me.

Sorry. The poll just seems pointless to me. It's too restrictive.
    Agreed.

But I chose option 2. Struggling to get by clinging to dignity only happens in the movies.
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.
