    Being Late:
    Vandals slashed my tires
Wife/Sister had "feminine issues" at 5 AM (or whenever)
Gas station pumped air into fuel tank
Velociraptor attack. I'm lucky to be alive.

    Forgetting an Important Date:
Are you sure it wasn't SATURDAY the 21st?
    Don't make days too important

    Not Going to an Event:

If a deaf INFP falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

    Being late?

It takes a lot of time to dump a body.
I felt it was better to sleep at home rather than at the office.
I'm not late. I decided to change my hours to make them more convenient.
Your wife didn't have my breakfast ready on time. (ohhhhh)
    (i found these online, lol)

    Forgetting an important date?

I was driving over but i saw this woman in difficulty and it turned out she was labour so i helped deliver the baby.

    Not going to an event?

It is pencilled in on the calender, come see, it's this coming weekend.

    Etc. My Grandmother died.

Throughout the course of my life, my grandmother has died about 147 times.

there is so much that is so right about this.
And so long as you haven’t experienced this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth

I'm totally going to use that some time (in a situation where doing so wouldn't totally screw me over, anyway).

    Who needs excuses..

"I overslept." "I forgot what time it was." "I'm late, deal with it."

These all work better than lame see through excuses.
