    Same here.

I moved out and away less than a year after that day.

I still look-up to my parents for their life experience and good decision making. I guess it depends on the individual situation though.

As for my worst day...honestly I can't think of any that stand-out insanely. The day that I basically lost all my friends in middle school sucked pretty hard, but nothing to cry over.

Exactly. And what do you think would have happened if you lost that at 15?

I think one of the worst experiences for me was when my peers began to call me "gay" because I wrote poetry, I was introverted, talked to girls a lot (more than I talked to other guys), slightly effeminate, because I "wasn't man enough" and other things of the like. It was a really hard blow to my ego, and I became extremely alienated from almost everyone, including my family and started having delusions of grandeur and became frighteningly paranoid. In fact I don't think I ever left my house once during that period, except to go to school. But since then I've learned to except the way I am, and embrace it

1st gulf war. On facebook the old STA platoon and i have a popular consensus to refer to it as 'the fake gulf war' in order to give respect to the women and men in this new gig going on at the present.
    nevertheless
It was somewhere toward the end of a 100 hour day when all crossed into the occupied country of Kuwait. Someone in another team asked permission from an FO (forward observer/Major) to call in an airstrike on what was definately an abandoned airfield. When a few of us approached close enough to assess, we found no casualties of any significant rank plus a whole lot of makeshift white cloth poised to be raised.

Reason that sucked (in hindsight) is because we did all that work/patrolling, some odd 3 days straight, only to have some frickin 22 year old intuitive Cpl make a case to take out a bunch of coerced kids/shiite/our age because there wasn't enough concrete/confirmed visual evidence out of curiousity maybe?.....Who knows, maybe the thought pattern of said Cpl lead him to believe there was republican guard in that mix. i do know this....another fella and i were closer and did (basically) put in a vote to cancel due to not being able to confirm an actual.

Please bear in mind, it was the worst day for everyone including said Cpl. When put into perspective, 2 days later we were trucked to a base in Saudi Arabia and a month later we flew back home on a continental.

This Cpl is not a bad fella. i intuitively know there isn't a day that goes by for him that he doesn't second guess anything he does everyday.
everyone uses every function about evenly. take NE for example. if there are those who don't use it much, then why are there such massive amounts of people constantly flowing through Wallmart with 20 items or less?

Death of same age cousin + dealing with my own undiagnosed illness that left me in pain and exhausted + having to write an organic chemistry exam the next day, followed by four other exams shortly after. Draining and depressing with no end in sight.

9/11 seems like a better reason to consider a day worse than any others than peeing your pants in front a bunch of other kids.
