halla i have another 15 years before i can answer this question.
being a existentialism induced absurdist with a self indulgent sense of humor and a knack for causing [but avoiding] trouble, i'm thinking i have something of a head start as compared to the chumps around me.

i'll report back in 15 years.
everyone else says the trouble will creep back up to me.
i don't think so. all i gotta do is stay one step ahead right?
shouldn't be hard as long as i pace myself.

I admire the attitude...but unfortunately being a total dick to everyone all the time does actually come back around to fuck you over in the long run...no matter how good you are at convincing yourself you're not actually doing that.

    Good luck.
If you could be anything you want, I bet you'd be disappointed--am I right?

no what you are is jealous.
you only think it'll come back to fuck me because you assume we both want the same things.
    i'm very sure we don't.
and further, i demand you leave me alone about my attitude from here on out.
the ceaseless "constructive criticism" [as you'd probably call it, even though really it's just a way to passively rationalize your unconscious compulsion for taking safe route] is just plain annoying.

for someone who claims so often that he's not trying to be a dick, you sure do get yourself into a lot of situations wherein you have to make that distinction...

^ I don't even understand what you're talking about, honestly. Not much about my life has involved the "safe route", not that you'd know that.

I wish I knew nothing from 20 to 35 and I didn't. And there wasn't much to know. It all floats there in front of me. Why would I want to know?

I didn't know then and I don't know now. All I could know would be how to do things, and even if I did know how to do things, I wouldn't know how to be.

In fact I was - without knowing how to be. Jahwe said, "I am", and that's all I was - all unknowing and all being.

I slipped under the radar. When everyone else was doing, I was being. And I didn't even know I was being, I just thought I was failing at doing, and so did everyone else.

They took the road of life while I slipped off to the side into a green paddock with two horses for company. We would sit beside the water trough and watch the day. The day also did nothing and moved so slow you couldn't even see it move. So we decided to slow down to the speed of the day. It looked like we weren't moving while the busy traffic hurried on the road nearby.

I can still remember the smell of the horses and the water trough and still see the busy traffic as day turned to night and I turned from 20 to 35.

Maybe .. Just maybe, they know what they are talking about, having a few more years life experience than yourself.

And those chumps you speak of, you can have your smart ass attitude, but it will be those chumps who will be bailing you out right at that moment when you forgot to stay one step ahead.

    Awwww, so young. Bless ya.
