No, especially not when it is on offer in Tesco.

My family/I use(s) Olive Oil whenever we can. I guess it's a lot healthier? I don't know, we just were always using it.

But for times when we can't use it, and have to choose between butter and margarine, it's usually margarine because my dad's a health nut.

This goes along with wheat bread (we NEVER get white bread anymore) and organic milk.

I could care less, I just go along with it.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

    Both.

Butter is more for an outer extraction.

    Butter.

Though I have to say, margarine/tub butter has me jealous because it goes on things so well. So I tend to use that on toast.

Butter wins by a longslide when it comes to cooking. That and olive oil. (Oh yes, and next time you make plain popcorn, melt actual butter and pour it on there. It's soooooo much better than that artificial topping stuff.)

    Cow + Churn = Butter
Various Oils + Industrial Chemical Process + Food Coloring = Margarine

Butter... no contest. I mean, I can understand not eating butter if you're a vegetarian, etc., but I'd imagine other alternatives are much yummier and better for you (the ubiquitous olive oil on bread in Italian restaurants is a fine example!)

Yes! I very much enjoy popcorn with my butter. I mean... well, actually that's pretty accurate .

Margarine tastes awful, I haven't used it for over a decade now. I vote butter but I don't really use it either. I don't eat white bread or toast. I use different kinds of oils (Olive, Canola, Sunflower and others) for cooking.

I voted butter, but I'm changing my vote to Weetabix

I haven't had margarine in ages! It is delightfully spreadable, but I always feel like I'm eating some kind of alien imitation of butter.

But I'd never use regular margarine. Too much hydrogenated oils really bad.

Not all spreads are made of chemical nastiness. I use soy-free Earth Balance Buttery Spread.
