    I don't really care for ethnic identity constructions. That being said, I'm a European mutt of mostly German, Italian, and Scotch-Irish descent.

    Race is a social label based on physical characteristics. Ethnicity is based on origin.

    Long story short: Race is a concept largely rooted in biology(aka "sub-species"); while ethnicity is largely an ethical-social concept.
