I might assign a generic male/female voice to most posters. I think only the people with really distinct and consistent posting styles have their own imaginary sound. Like with Lady X and Jeffster.

I'm a bit jealous, I only get voices that are either slightly feminised or masculinised versions of a dull monotone New Zealand accent.

Please, no hair mop. You are better as Butters than you are as those silly Goth Kids.

    The OP made me LOL.

No, I do not subvocalize, even for posters who I have met (multiple) times or know IRL.

I haven't been on Vent yet, I wonder if that would change anything?

Even when I read for fun though, I get so engrossed in what I'm reading that I speed through to the next page with a mental image, but I don't hold that moment long enough to flesh it out.

So basically, when I read what people write on this forum, I get the colorful language and style and maybe a tone and a vibe/character but I don't attribute a voice to it. Or even a face.

You mean do I give a voice to people's posts even though I've never heard them speak? Yes, and I picture a face, too, but a kind of vague one.

And it is fun to check how that differs on Vent (or at a meet-up).

The only person whose posts I do that to is Pure Mercury, because of the avatar.
This is a really interesting thread though.

I cannot even fathom reading without subvocalizing, though I suppose there are some very skilled people out there who can accomplish this. I do not hear the voices of any one else however, it is just my standard "thought voice."

Same. Inserting other voices sometimes happens, but only for deliberate effect in my own mind. Kind of like reading aloud with different voices and inflections would be. It is prompted by myself, not an involuntary thing.
