Thanks to the "threads like this" thingie at the bottom of the page, I found this old thread that might open it up a bit.

I feel like the lady who throws the party and gives everyone notecards with suggestions of possible conversation topics. Mingle dammit!

This might be one of those ongoing threads which keeps popping up every time someone misreads a thread.

I keep reading the "Post your pic and be renamed!" as "Post your pic and be damned!" which seems oddly appropriate. And I've already mentioned my constant misreading of Tiltyred's username, which is so ingrained now that I picture her as a very sore Minoan lass.

More as they occur to me.

Especially considering the large hadron collider....
I had this problem when the large hadron collider got fired up earlier this year (I think). Somehow I got a mental image mixed up with the name of it, of a couple of guys with giant wangs, jousting, and could never shake it. To this day, when I hear the term "large hadron collider" that mental image pops up involuntarily. I even just typed "hardon" and had to backspace and retype it to "hadron."

Maybe it's Ne misfiring or maybe it's just me being absentminded, but I think shit like this is hilarious.
An interesting pattern, wouldn't you say?

If it were a small hadron collider it never would have occurred to her.

There's no way the scientists would've gone for that. I bet they had to be talked down from "Enormous Throbbing Hadron Collider".

    Actual word: Saliva
