Everybody is so active and you were very welcoming right away. I got a lot of personal interaction, rather than ignored posts and/or indifferent responses.

Similarminds sucked and was unmoderated => found this place when it was eensy weensy tiny while I was bored, and Jennifer made me feel welcome, so I stayed.

A friend. I took a few glances around and realized how awesome it is.

I came across this site on google trying to figure out which type sounded the most like me.
Found the site to be interesting so I signed up

I was also at similarminds and found it much less interactive and the unmoderated part was not as good either. I also tried some INFJ site, but people were so accepting that there was no interest. You need some different perspectives to change things up and I think the main purpose that I have found in this is learning about interacting with other types than my own. I've found people here are very welcoming.

For some reason, I originally looked to Yahoo for type/temperament discussions. Found several groups, but most of them died or were very slow, or talked mostly about nothing. One was pretty alive, but populated (actively, that is) almost entirely by F's who thought I was too impersonal with my ideas on the theories. Then there was a semiregular "local guru" who for some reason took particular offense.
In my research on different aspects of type, I would often run across MBTIc and INTPc, but did not bother to join until I figured that they would be better to discuss the theories on. Lately, I have even become more appreciated!

I am also an INTPc transplant. I feel more comfortable posting here.

This is the only venue I have discovered where you can interact with all the types that are familiar with typology. IRL, not many individuals know of or are interested in type theory; hence my intellectual stimulation went unprovoked. But here...there are so many with a deeper understanding than I, and it would have been a great loss if I hadn't used this wonderful resource to formulate a deeper understanding of myself and others.
