^ Yep, that's more or less what I was about to say. Be openminded enough to learn from anyone, but always think for yourself.

Perhaps you do not consider three lines one piece of advice. But this is my strategic advice for life:

    Ask questions.
    Do research.
    Acknowledge other points of view.

    Don't be afraid.

I think fear is the biggest enemy of the "best life" people can live.

I think if people operated from a true and deep sense of security, it would eliminate the need for most other forms of advice and solutions because a lot typical issues on the personal and meta-social level would be gone.

Very closely tied to "don't be afraid" is -

Live with joy or even better manifest the joy you want the world.

Is that hokey as hell? Damn NF stereotypes.

wash your hands after you take a dump, seriously thats how people get sick.

use common sense, if you have none then i don't know

if something doesn't seem right it probably isn't, don't wait around to find out if your instinct is right not.
    In no likes experiment.

Don't speak unless you know what you're talking about, and don't act unless you know what you're doing.

    Regarding fear:
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
