Default Is heritage important to you?

It seems odd to me that I really enjoy my heritage and take pride in it, yet, logically, it has almost no value and very little impact on my life. (I'm scottish on one side and irish on the other).

I even intend to get this on my right delt as soon as I can afford it.

I'm so mixed, as are my parents/grandparents, that I don't really have a heritage. I'm glad that I happened to be born in Canada though, I guess that counts as my heritage.

That's another weird thing about me, I guess. Outside of my immediate family, I don't see what is so special about them or why we should have anything to do with each other.

Sure. My mom has traced our ancestry back pretty far. The conclusion is we're complete mutts. Irish, Italian, Polish, Swedish, etc...

    And that's cool to me.

Let's just say I'm most likley to pick up the family geneology project from my grandmother once she's unable to do it herself. You can, however, say I'm that alleycat you find running around with colouring you don't recognize.

I know it in general, but don't care outside of curiosity.

Yes, I have a Southern mother and a father who's into geneology; from my mother I feel like I know these people, and from my dad's studies I have tantalizing impressions of what my ancestors experienced, and from both I see how my ancestors' personalities and experiences have influenced their decendents (and therefore my upbringing).
