When I was in elementary school my mother would pack me a bologna and cheese sandwich on white bread almost every day. I would begin by smashing it totally flat. Then I would nibble it into a perfect square, then nibble the square into a circle, and then into a smaller square, and so on until I had a circle or square about the size of a stamp, and then I'd just pop that in my mouth.
I was a bread-squasher too!

As a child, if I needed to walk through a darkened house, instead of whistling a happy tune I would force the mental image of every conceivable monster in a chorus line with each other, singing show tunes.
I chew the skin at the end of my fingertips because I hate having loose bits of skin there. I will also pick at scabs or pimples or blisters etc for the same reason.
I also laugh nervously, uncontrollably, when I get uncomfortable...sometimes to the point of tears. I have started giggling:
-during public speaking
-in the middle of massive arguments
-when being bullied as a child
-when being insulted
-and countless other inappropriate times
I have many quirks, I'll just share the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
If I'm eating cream-filled cookies, I will always pull off the top and lick the cream off and then eat the cookie part (but not in polite company...luckily this is a rare situation ).
If I eat a chocolate-coated icecream, I must eat all the chocolate off it first before eating the icecream.
At work I must have all the applications open in the right order on my tool bar, otherwise I close them all down and reopen in the right order.
I don't like hard crusty bread - it hurts the inside of my mouth.
I have to open all emails as soon as I've noticed them in my inbox at work because I don't like the inbox to be bolded (from having unread emails). I kid myself that this makes it easier to notice new, possibly urgent ones.
I'm ok with background noise at work (conversations, phone calls etc) but if a printer is beeping it will drive me insane, regardless of how far away it is - if I can hear it, it's driving me nuts.
If I have to think about something someone has told me, I stare off into the distance, or in extreme cases, at the ceiling. My colleagues sometimes find this disconcerting.
I sometimes snort when I laugh.
I'm sure there's many many more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
-I cant figure out left and right from each other never, unless I wink either eye to see which side is left and which is right.
-I guess this one might be one too. I see everything having shapes and pictures inside them. Like this scribble with nothing actually on it, but I saw a woman drawn on it just needing the extra lines removed. Other people never seem to bother to look at them the same way since they never see anything, exept the one time I strenghtened it so much it could be seen on some scribble. And then they figured I made it on my own. (I'm horrible drawer.)
Those are some of the more noticeable ones at least.
