The only movie that can consistently make me tear up a little is Contact. I just really love space. I've never had the Awe and Wonder that I have experienced at times articulated so perfectly when Jodie Foster describes her journey to the panel at the end.

You ever see 'Flightplan' with Jodie Foster? One of my favorite movies of all time.

Lol @ Flightplan. So many people seem to love or hate it, but I just thought it was very middle-of-the-road.

Films make me cry frequently! I can't let myself be seen to be actually emotional though, of course, so I just sit there as water falls from my eyes. I'm pretty pessimistic so I end up reading worse things into the storyline than even existed, and considering the possible background story too.
I'm really embarrassed about my reaction to 'Titanic.' It was so hyped when it came out - my friends saw it about 5 times each - and I refused to go because I was so cynical about it. When I did eventually see it I ended up crying hysterically! I cried for 20 minutes non-stop! Thank god I watched a video and wasn't at the cinema

I think I allow myself to be more emotional at home.

I only really like films that make me teary-eyed though; it's like the barometer of whether a film is good or not.

I cry more easily over books and movies than over reality.

I think this could be because narrative (when well-done) forces intimacy / identification. In life, my view of things just has a much wider scope. If I could easily access that personal perspective in life, I'd possibly cry just as easily.

Could that be what life is like for someone with Fi?

Yeah, the end of Alien: Resurrection, where Sigourney Weaver has to kill her alien-beast-baby, I sob every time

I have been moved strongly by some media. I can't remember the last time I sobbed reading a book, but I think the Life of Pi moved me. Also, the Time Traveler's Wife (which I didn't like for the first half, and then it made me feel all blue for the second half).

I got moved in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. That made me sad at the end of their little fun adventure. The movie Rudy gets me emotional. The Elephant Man is sad. Han Solo frozen in carbonite. All Dogs Go to Heaven. Mystic River was tragic. The movie Happiness, which I can't watch at all.

It's hard for me to get that worked up in real life...

    Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Plenty of movies I shed a tear. Never bursted out in tears though.

Gladiator when he dies and carried away. Braveheart. Ehm... And quite a few more that I can remember right now.
