    Default Time Machine/Do Over Opportunity

If you had the option of going back in time and changing one thing you said or did in the past, what would that be? What would you say/do differently?

People who say they have no regrets or wouldn't want to change anything, I just don't believe you.

damn...not to be all depressing but i'd make it so some people i've lost were still here.

One thing? Oh, well, if I must choose. I'd have gone to a vocational school after 9th grade. It could have saved me years of wasting time Maybe I'd be a "normal" human being then.

Only one thing? Darn, it's so hard to pick.

But it would be one of these:

    1. Started trying to socialize earlier in high school, joining clubs, etc.

    2. Tried to get a summer job back in high school.

    3. Learned to drive in high school, because my Dad would have brought me a car if I'd done it back then, and I'd be more capable now.

    4. Had put more effort into an Algebra class I failed in college.

    5. Had stuck with a job I got that I didn't like for several reasons.

    6. Had simply left things alone with a friend rather than just pushing them over the edge at a point when I was stressed.

It would be one of those six, I think. Those are the most significant ones.

I wouldn't change a thing. Mainly because I'm not a seer and have no idea how any changes would impact the present. Every experience in my life, regardless of how "bad" it may have been, has made me what I am today. The way I see it, there is no good times and bad times, only times.

Of course, given a time machine, who could refuse seeing the stock market in 20 years? Let's travel to the FUTURE! </humor>

I would quit a job back in 1988 that I had, cold turkey, just resign and start looking for another one.

Bugger, although it sounds great in principle, by changing 1 thing, i won't be where i am today. I have f**k'd up, squandered opportunities and made a right pigs ear out of some of my choices in life. However, all that has got me to my happy place at the moment.

There is one thing i would of liked to work harder at, but that has come and gone as it wasn't meant to be. I just have to hope i have learnt some bloody good lessons, and from here on forth, things are going to look up for me.

There are a billion things I regret, but I would not change any one of them as the things I did shaped and defined me into who I am today.
