None of the above really. I try to keep an objective eye on myself as much as possible. I'm frequently researching beliefs that are contrary to my culture's so I can make better judgments concerning the 'whole' of the matter.
i wouldn't describe myself as having pride in my origins, it is more a feeling that i am connected to them, that there is a significance to me there that is not based on logical or factual reasoning. it is a significance that is just there.
Chauvinism defined as :an exaggerated, bellicose patriotism and a blind belief in national superiority and glory. By extension it has come to include an extreme and unreasoning partisanship on behalf of any group to which one belongs, especially when the partisanship includes malice and hatred towards a rival group.
