Default Extreme Body Modifications: What do you think and do you have them?

Extreme Body Modifications as an exercise in "expression" continues to grow. I'm curious if our members have embraced it, avoided it, or done something in between.

    Wiki definition of Body Modification.

I also read about this tonight and it's the first I've heard of it --temporary Saline Inflation. I continue to boggle at this sort of thing.

    Feel free to comment.

well, skin elasticity is pretty amazing. in young people.
but i have a feeling that as they get older, the effects of saline inflation (wrinkles, loose skin) will not be so pretty.

I'm not into body modification at all. To express myself, I can do things, write, create music, or wear a different clothes. The only thing that slightly appeals to me would be getting a tattoo that serves as a personal reminder of something important to me, but even then, I could just get in the habit of reciting it to myself or I could write it on sticky notes and put them all over the place.

I don't care if other people do it, though.

I like tats and piercings, don't consider anything that I have extreme though, extreme to me is something like dermal anchoring or tongue splitting. I know someone who put a massive bolt through the back of his leg, guess it's called an achilles piercing, did it himself too (nuts right!!!), now thats extreme.

Both of my tats have a lot of meaning to me and of course the piercings are temporary for as long as I want them. I only have three at the moment, tongue, navel and tragus, most of the time I forget that theyre there and generally people dont notice them, I've had people ask me out of the blue after knowing me for years if I have a tongue piercing. As I say, nothing extreme.

There's no option for had a piercing.
    I had a tounge piercing until I was 27.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.

I have one piercing besides my ears. No tattoos or other body mods.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.

Only idiots get body mods. Although they look good with them.
