It's easy to stay angry at an ENFP when we switch to crisis mode - which could be ISTJ/ENTJ, etc. ENFPs can totally wall up inside ourselves and you can mistake our anxiety or need for self-protection for brusqueness and a bad attitude. Or we just get really combative and reactive and super E.

At our worst we're not social, convivial, or understanding at all. We're loud and angry and hardlining. Or we're kinda awkward and silent. Or maybe that's just me...

    or not....

    i'm never awkward...

Believe them when they say they'll totally call you right back, wait by the phone all night. Finally get a call back, at 3AM. Have a few minutes of half-awake conversation ended by "Oh, is this a bad time for you? Why don't I call you back tomorrow, night!! LOLOLOL".

    Wait by the phone tomorrow.

It's actually Kat von D, the tattoo artist. She has, or had, her own show on TLC.

How to stay mad at an ENFP? I know how to stay mad at a fairly unhealthy one--be so involved in your own stuff that you can't pay daily attention to them, and then talk to them when you finally get a moment and try to keep the conversation light. The resulting cold shoulder/guilt trip is highly annoying and mad-making.

Just think about them. Actually, angry isn't the word I would use...just remembering to remain immune works for me. Keeping that hollow, blank-eyed smile while they speak; not picking up when they call; deleting the emails...you know...typical intp social etiquette.

I can stay angry at anybody. I like being angry.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

Yeah right. Why can't I convince myself to believe you?
