    He was.
    Get the picture?

So many people who come to this forum are really bashing Mom, Dad, a lover who tossed them in the river, a coworker who shoved a rake up their ass, or looking to blame a group of people for their own failures and hypersensitivities.
    Yeah good observation there.

It's funnier that they bashed ESTPs. Talk about a random type bash.

There is a difference between correlation and determination.

Some group could be on average 2 IQ higher. When the standard deviation is 15, 2 IQ difference between averages can show a trend but isn't going to tell you anything about an individual. he is simply saying that while type has an effect, it is not the largest contributor.

Or he just made it up because it's just his personal opinion.

Another person could easily feel that E S and T are much more interesting than I N and F. And none of this has jack shit to do with the functions, so I'm not sure why it would be taken srsly.

I'm referring to what I quoted. It was referring to a specific line of Nico's. I'm explaining how the rationale

The ISTJs live in the real world, with detachment.
    Detachment is room.
    Room is fair play.

xSFJ is the most common and normal type. I think this makes them the most boring personality type.

    ISTJs are fucking badass.

INTJs are cool, but their forums suck. A lot of INTPs suck, and their forum is even worse.

I think a lot of INTJs suck too.

My point was that there are a lot of boring or irritating people, and what is interesting to one person may be boring to another, and there is plenty of variation within one type according to things like level of intelligence, common interests, sense of humor, et al.

Personality type does not entail a personality. It makes it more likely to yield a certain kind of personality based on functions, but I don't think it determines a set personality. This is why the same types are similar to each other. Personality is better measured by enneagram and it is also severely limited. Personality of a certain type with a certain enneagram is easier to infer from behavior and upbringing than it is from the type and enneagram of the person.

Assuming a type yields certain kinds of personalities is like assuming people who drive the same car both drive the same way.
