Do you mean what I said is kind of worthless?

Because getting to know someone is so much more than just listening to them talk. Just because I'm an extrovert doesn't mean I can't understand people non-verbally. Most of my friends are introverts, and both of my parents are introverts. I get them.

Edit: As for the generalization bit, the idea of "boring people" is so subjective. I think NTPs would probably be the most likely to think people are boring at all -- and they'd be most likely to think that "establishment types" with no creativity are the most boring people, which might lead them in the SJ direction.

I don't know if it's because of my type or not, but I don't find anyone boring. Maybe the things they talk about, sometimes. But not people. All people are interesting in some way. I figured that on a psychology forum, people would agree with me...

I agree, but it's still dodging the question.

I know! I definitely had to take some deep breaths before replying to that.

What question? Whether ISTJs are boring, or whether ISTJs appear boring? If the first, EJCC's reply suffices. If the second, the only possible answer to be had (that isn't unreasonable, and therefore needn't be dismissed outright) would be, "yeah, sure, because they're introverts and don't engage much socially, they can seem boring."

And from that I conclude, as others have, that there is indeed nothing left to be discussed regarding the question (or suggestion? Whatever it was...) in the OP.

It's possible for someone to not be able to make that generalization because they have not perceived enough people in any one type to be more boring than people in other types.

Agree. I think boring people are people who don't grow or care. Apathetic people.
There are those in every type, more than likely.

ISTJ's can be fun sometimes. My ISTJ mom shops better than anyone I know, and she watches "The Howard Stern Show".

    ^^ Agreed.

My ISTJ kiddo is in the next room ripping people to pieces with his sarcasm and wit on his 360 .. I am so proud. Lol

Edit - I'm only proud because IRL he won't say anything to anyone as he's so shy.

ISTJs are cautious and are wearing perfectly color-coordinated name brand items in neutral shades of black, gray, and beige....and they're making your ExFPs laugh and performing massive B&E's on your forum every 3 to 6 weeks.
