I think I'm a far more boring person than most SJs are. :blushing: I'm just unfortunate enough to be boring AND weird. At least SJs are boring and normal.

You just haven't had the pleasure of hearing my ISFJ baby sister ramble on for 40 minutes or so about her washing machine, have you? I thought not! *Though I love her dearly... *

What one person may call boring another person may call appealing.

It's hard to please everyone but you can surely please just one person.

My dad (ISTJ) acts like that most of the time when at home and he's been completely sober for a year. He's sometimes funny but other times just disturbingly weird. For example...

Me: Hey did you know there are squirells in the back yard?
    Dad: There are?
Me: Yeah they like to hang out on top of the fence.
Dad: Great! I'll plink them off my rifle.

    [Complete silence in the car.]
    Dad: Cocks...
    Me: What?
Dad: Cocks... [snickering] falling from the sky!
    Me: What!?
Dad: [Laughing] Hunderds of cocks! In the middle of the road! [Slaps the steering wheel.]
Me: I don't understand you sometimes...
    Dad: [Continues laughing loudly.]

He also has various 'characters' that he voices. He can speak in many different accents fairly well (mostly Australian, German, Russian, Romanian, and Scottish) and has even fooled some people about his nationality. Many have mentioned that he should do voice acting or be on radio. He can be actually pretty amusing.

Me on the other hand... I am significantly more boring.

Indeed, as it happens I'm starting to grow very fond of little sis's household appliances

There's only one female I've ever typed as an ISTJ, and she would have a lot in common with your father. She's actually aspiring to be a voice actress. (She's had a few minor gigs thus far, but nothing big.) She also has that off-beat sense of humor. (Which, fortunately, I can understand.)
If a deaf INFP falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

well keep in mind that she's your sister. Sisters are boring. I bet if a girl you liked starting rambling about her washing machine you'd be fascinated.

Boring if you're looking for entertainment, perhaps. I think ESTJs are the most boring because they'll chatter on to you about things you just can't care about. An ISTJ can be ignored

True, it indicates an interest in the subject of laundry which I might reasonably expect to extend to mine...
