I'm probably closest to being a maven. But, I have rarely known myself to be part of any social epedimic, other than as a laggard or late majority. The internet might be the only thing that I adopted early, but I wasn't terribly knowledgable about it.

I hope to someday create something that will spread like a social epedemic, but I don't think that would necessarily make me a participant in the phenomenon that Gladwell describes. Still you can't spread something without it existing in the first place.

There is nothing to sell, connect over, or gather info on without someone to come up with new ideas and create things from nothing.

If I seem mad, it's because I am. I was recently devalued and degraded by someone with this kind of slanted view point. Somehow her social skills and sales were worth more than my creative design and writing talent. :steam:
It has been a while since I read The Tipping Point, but I believe this has to do with how fads and fashions come and go. This doesn't seem like something to get upset over. But I am not sure about in what particular way you were put down.

I keep telling myself every human being has inifinite and equal value. Maybe I'll believe it someday.

    "Connector" hands down.

Although, I can also see a bit of the "Salesman".

None of them. Those descriptions are too extroverted for me.
