the universe is ultimately a logical place, and in that sense logic is required to analyze, understand, adapt, and apply within it. but do not people still exist and make up a major component of the the portion of the universe every one of us finds ourselves interacting with to a high degree? emotional beings require understanding and consideration of such, even in a strictly logical sense and this is something people who are focused on only "mathematical" logic often seem to overlook. likewise, reasoning is the pathway to truth, and those who are emotionally focused are more prone to forget that their emotions don't dictate reality.

black and white conclusions inadequately consider why having both types of people are important and the value of diversification

as always, such black and white conclusions, whether emotionally or logically deriven, inadequately explain why having both types of people are important and the value of diversification

    +1!

I think my way through most things.

It is true that if I have to make a decision on a given issue based solely on my feelings, it will be difficult for me. I might take a LONG time to make such a choice because my default is to find the objective truthy in all things, and feelings are hardly objective.

I've gotten better at this recently as I've had to make a few MAJOR life decisions that were entirely feelings based. I was in denial about them being as such for quite some time, but the ugly truth (LOL) came out eventually, and I was forced to park my logic and objective truth seeking nature, and let me heart guide me where I needed to go. I ended up in the right place, but it was an awfully uncomfortable process having to navigate as such.

Feelings have their place, just keep them the hell away from my power tools and my firearms.

    tee-hee.

Hint for the OP: It's not Thinking that's most responsible for refusal to see things in relative terms--it's Sensing. Sensing-Thinkers are just especially bad about it.

iNtuitive-Feelers are probably best at this, but iNtuitive-Thinkers are probably better at balancing multiple interpretations than Sensing-Feelers.
If you could be anything you want, I bet you'd be disappointed--am I right?
