What an odd compliment to give someone.
If a deaf INFP falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

With my INFP friend, for example, I think it adds some relief for him to escape from all the fuzzy interpersonal stuff and get clarity. Half his work regularly involves technology installation and development, and he enjoys fixing up rooms in his home too. His one issue is that he gets anal about details. I've met ISFJs who really enjoy carrying out processes too and so would enjoy forensic things... where you have a fixed set of routines that demand precision and consistency in how you carry them out... and so on.

Pardon my asking, but what is your INFP friend's work?

He was a project lead for telephony / automated answering systems for an (inter)national health care organization -- he both managed programmers/technicians as well as did system programming, installation, and development himself. Later he has split his time between that job and being an associate pastor in a church setting... where ironically he handled a lot of the audio/visual duties.
