There are several persons here with marked cases of certain personality disorder, including narcissistic, histrionic and paranoid personality disorders. But do they count as insane?

I think having a mental disorder can be defined as insane, but I'd only use the term if psychosis or delusion was a part of that mental disorder. I don't think it's a scientific term though.

What is your motive behind talking in the third person about yourself? An online persona?

There's definitely delusion in a bunch of those cases.

Oh yes. And I think delusion is pretty common in society, even in those who are considered mentally healthy, and is even encouraged sometimes.

I want to know this too. Preferably a first person explanation.
