What kind of freak doesn't like chocolate cake?!

I kid. I'll give the blog a read. If anything, I'm just uncertain how love can develop if there isn't an initial physical attraction at first. But I'll keep an open mind and read the blog. Thanks for posting it.
    Um, yeah.

    Hehehe!
You know how people sometimes say: Oh, I'm totally about the personality. If somebody could do it, it'd be the asexuals but having said that there's still actually physical attraction.

However it's more in the form of admiration of beauty, rather than lusting after them. The whole physical attraction to wanting to be around a particular person can still exist if they are romantic asexuals.

Then there are the aromantics asexuals which literally seem like robots. They don't seem to be interested much in interpersonal relationships with others, and many have self identified as thinkers on MBTI. Which would be great for theory but there are still one or two feelers who are aromantic, so it totally blows that theory out of the window.

Which reminds me. Not exactly the same thing, but I still love this picture.

What is the definition being used for 'asexual'?
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Someone that does not experience sexual attraction towards other people.

The biggest problem is that even within the asexual community there is a huge variation. Some asexuals are against sex, some are indifferent, some even enjoy sex with their partners but aren't interested in initiating it themselves.

Then there are those who are interested in the idea of having sex with people, those who dream of it, but when it comes to reality they aren't interested. It's very blurred.

Hahaha. I've totally saved that picture in my folder.

I can actually relate to that. While I do have my lustful tendencies, I'm more into the personality of an individual, rather than physical attributes. I can't imagine being involved with someone who has a great body, but void of an attractive personality. I also admire my partner's body, rather than thinking, "Cor, I want summa that!" Although admittedly, sometimes my feelings are a little more primitive. ;P But extraverting of that behaviour is at a minimum and are usually disguised as jokes. So yeah, general asexuality makes a lot more sense to me now.

I read the bit about asexual aromantics. I'm still getting my head around it, but I can understand the appeal of it. I'm just finding it almost impossible to relate to. Thanks again for the link. It cleared up a lot of stuff - and gave me a funny image to steal.
    Um, yeah.

Yes, the replies made me think there were various interpretations, which is why I asked. My answer would be no, I am not asexual. I am however committed to abstaining until I marry. This is something I would have to repent, but if you are headed for marriage, being physically attracted to someone is necessary.
