"How dreadful!" cried Lord Henry. "I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect." ~ Oscar Wilde - The picture of Dorian Gray
I dunno how to explain it really. She kind of reminds me a hybrid of Tank Girl and Zee from DMZ. I kinda suck at explaining this stuff but there's a certain aspect of the character's personality depicted through the artwork.
I know a girl, she's one of a kind
But the poor little thing, she's going out of her mind
There's something you forgot - there's a reason why she's lost
Cos baby she don't want to be found
I think Death and being in love are kinda the same thing in this picture. She seems to have a cross in her hair, like a military medal. And the bell on her antler is ringing a 'heart' note, like the heart in her 'ipod music' wire. Random observations.
Overall, I think it's just capturing the mood or the feeling that love is doomed and it's dramatic and it makes you simultaneously want to die as well as extinguish the cause of your pain.
She is the hunter and the hunted and the tattoo on her arm says as much - going in circles.
Wow, a nice packed picture!
Who is the artist? I'd love to see more!
PS Dwigie - the plane is pink because she has her eye set on it - her 'eyeline' is the series of pink dots.
“If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.” ― Oscar Wilde
Is it just me or do the dead bird have zippers? I just realized because I put the picture as my background. Ok, I really don't know how to interpret that. It only makes me think of those dead bodies, when people zip them up sometimes.
PS:CzeCze, ah I get it now.
