    Canmore is expensive! If you can make the money to live there, great, but then most things in Alberta have been costing more than they need to. Don't really know what to say on the best place to live though. The better it is for most people, the more money you have to make sure you're making just to keep up with bills. Only moderately frustrating...

    calgary baby!

    everything except housing is cheaper (maybe not anymore...i dunno) than ontario and no GST...job market is not bad at all

    alberta is the most unpretentious province ever...youll fucking love the people

    That's PST, thisGuy, not GST. GST everyone pays, PST is set by the provinces. I'm in cowtown as well and I'm not finding it that cheep. My cost of living in this city is about twice what I had back in Northern Ontario. The only thing cheep out here is gasoline and not by that much.

    lol right...no PST cuz alberta gets huge oil royalties

    well no, its not cheap by any means but compared my current location, southern ontario, i found grocery, insurance...most things EXCEPT rent cheaper in calgary

    Ok, I moved here a little over two years ago and I can't help but feel like I'm being gouged like they're assuming I'm working for the oil industry.

    Maritimes are cheap. I enjoyed the time I spent living in Halifax/Dartmouth.
