Default What's the point of high heels?

I always figured they were just to make one taller, but my room mate informed me that wasn't the point. so what is the point?

They look sexy? I mean I'm tall, don't want to be any taller, but I love heels.

I thought they made you stand in such away that your butt looked more firm or something?

Heels elongate the leg and make the foot look slimmer. I love love high heels. Talk about bringing a room to attention - the right heels can be power.

I had a favorite pair of black spikes that I wore everywhere. The first time my eNTP saw them it was magic. I was solid black and spandex from head to foot, except for a wicked short wool fitted jacket. I thought he'd stopped breathing. It was the best.

so the people who benefit from heels the most are ones who have stubby legs and fat feet?

    They do that (aesthetically).
They also seem to make my hips sway more when I walk.

I honestly don't think so, I don't think there is much improvement, rather when a legs look nice anyway and the ankle is nice, then it looks stunning.

Or at least to my perception.
