I kinda thought that they made the boobs stick out more and did something to the butt, not sure what.

That "sway" is what a male friend of mine called a "switch". You have a switch to your walk. I like the sound of that.

It's far easier to sweep women off their feet when they are precariously perched on pegs with the diameter of a dime. Have you ever seen someone sweep a woman off their feet if the woman had a solid base of support? Didn't think so. Also it makes it harder for you to run away from us.

Yup, although keep in mind that lot of this has to do with optical illusions, and the same effect can be had from boots, or just longer shoes. One of the major differences, however, is posture... both in a positive and negative way. This is why heels don't work better for "stubbyness", being mentioned above. Heels emphasize legs and change the muscle definition in the calves. That is, the influence of heels exists regardless of if you can see the heels themselves, so they have to be seen in that light as well... this is true even if the person can't see bare leg, or the person isn't moving.

The swaying thing has more to do with how you walk... it can be done with or without heels, but most people learn to walk that way because of influence on posture. It's not really... a good health thing... however.

(Yes... I did research this once upon a time. Fashion in general though... really.)

well, it's sort of difficult to be a bow-legged or 'dudely' walker in 5 inch heels.. heels definitely seem to make me walk more elegantly. i think i always associated high heels with a sort of demure femininity, anyway

heels come second only to corsets in fixing my slouchy IN-- posture! bless them.

Shoves your ass out. Makes your calves look flexed. It's all about the sex.

Torture devices? Restraints to keep women from running away? Haven't figured it out yet, but every time I wear them, I ask myself why...
