I wasn't ever popular along the way, just ended up becoming known in an online world thing. It was like being famous in a little world of its own. It was because I design items for the world and ended up getting to know people who worked for it.

"Oh my gosh! It's Elaur! I can't believe I'm meeting you!"

I'm asking any group where you were loved, admired, respected,- top of the tops?
In my small group of friends, possibly, but that doesn't really count since it's rather small.

I never put in enough effort and don't care enough to be popular in large groups.

    Or what have you.

I feel this way where I work.
I think I might be a little jealous on some level. Though I'm not sure I would really want everything associated with that.

But, no I haven't. Sometimes I've fantasized about it, though.

Popularity I think isnt important. If people listen to you or not, is the most important. Anything after that is a gift you can only appreciate or learn from it

Well, in one of my classes, I played what could be called the "class clown," and I kinda fitted your description, but it may have been simply because I was laid back and approachable. I don't know about "popular."

I prefer to be in a group where I am not popular but get my share of attention.

When I become popular, I start to worry.

I worry that I will have nothing to push against and that I will lose my edge.

Being unpopular and fighting against the odds is where I feel the most comfortable.

And indeed, the only movies I cry at are movies of men fighting impossible odds.

So perhaps I create my own drama around me.
