    What is this Feeling? from the Wicked musical (ironic huh? ). It wasn't the song that did it, it was the significance it has to me. I'm listening to it right now and I don't feel the odd feeling anymore, though.

    You just got to love irony. I guess this happens when you're somehow emotionally vulnerable and something triggers the feeling (the significance of the song in this instance).

    I few people mentioned the feeling occurs with some type of loss. I agree. Sometimes missing someone as well or being unsure about something important to you. In my experience, yes, it has also led to panic attacks.

    Angst has nothing to do with calmness, nor does free-floating anxiety. Both things can manifest themselves, physically, in a calm person. You might want to check out Sartre's Nausea for a fictional account of the state.
