Default Short Story genre nominations (CASH PRIZE CONTEST)

This is your chance to choose from the following genres on what you'd like see as the fictional theme for the short story contest which I'm setting up here pretty soon. The people participating will (speak up if you want to) send me their story via PM by a date I will designate. The stories will then be put into a thread (which I hope to have stickied) with authors not mentioned, to exclude the possibility of bias. I will leave the poll open for probably one or two weeks (suggestions welcome) and the first place winner shall be rewarded a cash prize by myself.

More specific details of short story length, dates for submission and what not will come soon. PM me if you have any questions.

Well, I think that if it is limited to one genre, it's more contestable that way.

Perhaps if you had a choice of genres, but a theme that had to be stuck to instead?

I don't even know who's interested in doing this, I wish people would speak up... I want everyone to have fun doing this, and I'm open to that idea.

    I'm interested in doing it.
I felt bad for Sunshine when she set up that art/baking etc competition. She left not long after that.

    Don't you go doing that.

I ain't going nowhere, but I gotta have some sort of roster... I know we have creative writers on the boards and a chance to put your talent out and possibly earn some cold, hard cash...

Seems like people would be aboard.

For me it's not the cash. It's so I can crush all other types in a creative battle.
I know a lot of the other types have said they were good writers and all that, but at the end of the day talk is cheap.

Hope I helped in some way Beat.
