# Thread: Does anyone else think unknown 50/50 probabilities are quite interesting?

1. I just chose what felt right. Which one did I choose?

2. 2 of course.

So vote on the poll and we'll see later who really isn't psychic.
But what will be your proof that you have picked what you claim you pick? From your current position it is very easy to offer an answer that goes against majority of votes.

Or for that matter go with the majority of votes. Which one will I do? That's why I left the decision up to the people. There seems to be one piece of reasoning you overlooked.

5. The answer is 2. I can only say that outsider got it right since there was a post.

There are seven losers. Show yourselves.

6. YAY! Are you sure it wasn't 1? You liar you...

No, I'm sure it wasn't 1.

8. It seems my point was that 2 numbers is enough to figure out who's not psychic.

So what would be the lowest number of possibilities that if one were to guess the correct answer with no sign of a hint, one might be dubbed psychic. What would it be, say 10,000,000,005 (ten billion and five)?

Guess which one I'm thinking of.

9. I don't think you should have used 1 and 2 for this... because both 1 and 2 have interesting properties and/or relationships with the world around us. Some have already mentioned why they like 1, or 2.... and even if they are joking, it's clear to see there can be a bias with such familiar numbers.

for a real 50/50 chance here, I think they would have to be characters and symbols that no one has seen before, otherwise there will be unseen noise in the probability of selecting 1 or 2
