My mother (INFP) had a massive grudge against cats. Actually, she had problems with animals of all kinds. Cats especially, though. She seemed intrinsically offended by their existence. This extended to other people's cats, in other people's houses.

I recall once at my paternal grandmother's house my mother found my grandmother's weak, ancient cat under her bed -- so she yanked it out by the tail and threw it out the door like a hammer throw.

    A cat cult leader, interesting

I'm cat crazy and have 6 of em. If it were up to my INTJ though, they wouldn't be here. He tolerates them coz of me, though he has grown fond of some of them over the years. He still claims that he'd not miss them if they were gone though..

I'm allergic to cats. Furthermore, I am not an "animal person." But I might be an "animal" person.

    If you catch my drift.

I'm also allergic to cats. I'm generally indifferent to them. I'm crazy for dogs on the other hand. Plus, I figured we had already parsed out that Fe people tended to favor dogs and Fi people tended to favor cats given their habitual like-disposition.

I don't even feel like cats want to be pets. So I like dogs. Dogs also have more amusing personalities.

I've had dogs, in the past. I can't stand lil dogs tho. If they're smaller then my cat it's NOT a dog.

I have two cats. One who's turning 18 soon, and another who I think is around 6months or so old.

Dogs have masters, cats have staff?

I always found cats more amusing personality wise.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Never take life to seriously.. No one gets out alive in the end anyway.

    Lol truth.

My INFP boyfriend is the "indulgent, push-over" pet owner and I am the "critical mother" pet-owner. (He also had cats & dogs growing up whereas I had neither, but am partial to dogs. I've met one or two cats in my life with enough personality to catch my eye.) He's big on unconditional love, unconditional generosity. I'm big on unconditional love, conditional generosity. My dog's got it good.
