I don't hate cats, but i would probably not choose to own one. I'd rather have a dog or preferably a platypus.

Look Ms Scantilyclad, I have been swimming in the Snowy River with not one, but two platypus.

They circled me under the gum trees, decided I was harmless and continued diving and feeding.

First you tell me a platypus is not a pus, what next?

You will be telling me two platypus are platypuses.

Who in their right mind would own a Dog or Cat when Genet's are an option?

I used to own a cat. He was awesome, and reminded me strongly of myself. As shy as he was, eventually he became very accommodating... to me. Anyone new came into the apartment, he'd magically vanish. Me, he'd allow to pick him up, rub my face in his belly, and go "WUGGAWUGGAWUGGAWUGGAWUGGA!" All he'd do is widen his eyes for a moment, then look away and grin.

My partner took him. Just as well, I guess.

I miss him more than I miss her.

I love all animals, but vastly prefer dogs to cats. Dogs are loveable and snuggly and hilarious.

But on no account does he ever allow me to take liberties.

And when he sees someone coming on his footpath, he pads in front of them and leads them and conducts them along his footpath.

I wouldn't want to mislead you though, as Jasper is a great hunter. And many a time I have watched him with pleasure as he stalks among the greenery beside the path.

So it is not so much that I own a cat, but more that I am grateful that Jasper allows me to be his friend.
I can agree with this in a way. I feel like I own a dog..
but.. my cat.. he's much more like a roommate.
And yes, his name's on the lease. Not mine.
    I am his dependent.

I wonder if little dogs should be in a category of their own?
