I'm glad you had what time you had together, I can see so many ways in which he profoundly impacted your life for the better... and never forget that you undoubtedly impacted his.
Thanks, Jennifer. He was full of fun.

My father died suddenly of a heart attack when I was 19 (that was a long time ago now). I understand the pain of losing someone in this way, and my heart goes out to you and your family. I wish I could offer more, but please know that you are in my thoughts.
My husband died the day before my ISTP son's 19th birthday. :-/

I hope your boys have a male role model they can look up to in their father's absence.

A good day to you, INTJMom.

Yeah... I'm concerned about that, too... especially for the 15 year old.

A good day to you, INTJMom.
    Thanks.

On Friday, my kids and I are driving up north to go bury my husband's ashes.

My parents and sister and her family will be there with us,
and maybe some aunts and cousins,
so we'll have people around us who love us.

I didn't realize this part was going to be so hard still.
I feel like I've said good bye so much already.
I thought I was resolved to the loss, but I guess not.
I still wish it wasn't true, and that he was still here.
I have lost such a wonderful man.

I have a lot to be grateful for, but this loss is very hard to bear.

I'm so sorry. I can imagine how hard it must be to bear but I think it's understandable that you would feel that way during certain anniversaries or his birthday or an event like this (burying his ashes - which is symbolic of a closure). I think certain events will always bring back memories and feelings but overtime it'll get better and better.

BUt, unfortunately, it will never heal. Do you have enough strength to continue? YES!
