i am not afraid, but - like with all intensive sensory events - i hesitate to go there.

when i was a child, my mom had to fight with me every time, to get me there (washing hair, or going to the swimming course). once i was in it for a while, i did not want to leave it. (it was fun, but i was also afraid of freezing under the shower afterwards, or whatever comes next. fear is always justified *g*)

i used to be proud, because i could dive very long. it's more fun than swimming, for sure.

i am not at all interested in sex in the water or under a shower. makes no sense, literally.

I love water and I love swimming in it more. In fact the only thing I'd rather swim in is jello. I don't like swimming around people though. I'm very self conscious about my slight sternum deformity so there's no way in hell you are ever getting me to lift up my shirt unless you want to see my belly button, that's an exception.

I used to get scared of playing video games if it had deep water. I still don't prefer the water levels, but I'm not scared of them. Actual water though, not sure. I've never been consciously aware of it, except for maybe a glass of water, then I really prefer that glass of water vs an empty one.

I love water, I love the feel of it, the sound of running water, especially the sound of rain and waves at sea. I love staring into deep water, and just generally looking at water.. I read somewhere that it can be a NF or even an introvert thing. I love being on boats too.

But I'm also scared of water. I have a deathly fear of drowning, I can't swim, hate the very idea of swimming and apparently used to be scared of the flush of a toilet when I was small.

So I think I contradict myself there.
Yes, I would like some sponge cake.

I wouldn't go out of my way to take a swim, but consider learning how to tread water a notable childhood achievement.

water represents the unconscious mind, people! How can you not love the unconscious mind!

I love to swim, I love to boat, I only drink water, I drink a ton of water, I love to jump in it, snorkle, treasure the life that flourishes above the surface..and think that water is very symbolic of depth and mysterious beauty. I am very very drawn to water, literally and figuratively.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

Total water baby - not too fussed about swimming at the beach (JELLY FISH!)
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

I am not afraid of water.

I am a little afraid of deep water, but reasonably so. I cannot swim, and I have had some experiences with deep water that should've been so scary that I would not want to go within 1 mile of the ocean. It is good that I can rely on reason while near water, because with that little bit of fear alone, I would do some very risky stuff.
Tune into Ventrilo weeknights between 6pm and 1am PST for continuation of universe dominating shenanigans and occassional type-related propaganda.........
