I used a Neti for a long time and then ended up giving it to my neighbor when she had a sinus infection. I replaced it with the NeilMed squeeze bottle

I use the little packets instead of measuring out salt. The packets have a bit of baking soda as well as the salt. The baking soda helps soften the water.
I use distilled water at room temperature.
The whole thing takes about 30 seconds and it makes a big difference.

I've never used one, but I remember learning about them last year (in my dance history class...yeah, we got off-topic a lot). I just think they're fascinating. I wanna try one just for the hell of it. (That's really weird.)

Well. When I do occasionally smoke, I notice it brings out both those functions. So I guess ya.

I thought that's what this post was about for the first 5 seconds after I read the title.

I've read through this thread and still not sure what it does, does it flush all the snot and boogers and pollen out your nose? Is it for runny or blocked nose?

Yes, it's just a way to keep your sinuses clean and moist. It flushes out ... whatever's in there. It's supposed to be used every day -- just like you brush your teeth, you wash out your nose. It's not so much for curing anything as for preventing. But if you are having sinus problems, it can feel really good to rinse your nose out.
