I ride a walrus to work, but it seems to be out of order lately. I Think it's a transmission problem. Do you know how to fix a walrus's transmission, Pink?
    Go to sleep, iguana.

I'm an NT and I used to change the oil on all the family vehicles. It's like the easiest thing ever. Take out drain plug, drain oil, remove oil filter, replace with new oil filter, replenish oil. Done. 10 minutes.

Kangirl - I would never revile you! I would pull over and drag you in and we'd speed a lot so as to attract a hot state trooper. He'll put us in hand cuffs and force us to sit in his Interceptor while he changes your tire.

Seriously, girls. It's okay if you don't want to change a tire or oil yourself. It can be messy, and even I don't relish the idea of getting covered in rubber, road grim and dirty oil anymore (I have to say, the sensation of warm gritty black engine oil running down your arm is pretty gross.) Just as long as you get the oil change done, that's all that matters! Not who did the changing.

*hot flashes* I read that as PP takes you in the Garage.

So...what car should I buy Pink? I'm vehicularly challenged.

    As requested by Kanamori:

My father's 1967 Buick Skylark convertible. It had the 340 Fireball V-8, predecessor to the 350. I preferred the 340, frankly, because it was smoother and quieter, but also very powerful. The car was roughly 16 ft long, nose to tail. White with blue interior.

My ISTP bff's 1976 Camaro. I forget what we had her on the lift for, but not too long afterward, we all got together and tore her guts out, replaced the engine with a 411. I rebuilt the transmission myself. We had to get her turned around in a week so it was all hands on deck. A roots blower was added as well.

She met her demise in a street race against a Mustang.

This is our 1968 VW Beetle. Jaye and I drove her everywhere. My grandfather bought it new in 1968 for our Grandmother. It has an Autostick transmission, which is a very strange yet workable cross between an automatic and stick-shift. It used a vacuum diaphragm to engage and disengage the clutches, and it makes a funny little sighing, whirring noise. The photo was taken before her repaint, reupholstery, and change into dark blue running boards.

Well let's see! Are you looking for something new or used? Diesel or petrol?

I want to point out, that at least here in the United States, you can go to Consumer Reports and use their findings to help you decide on a car purchase. They rate the cars for safety, efficiency, and over all performance/value for a five-year duration.

We have those. But there's still too many to choose from! I'm a P, dammit!

It has to be green, and fun, that's all I know.
