    Default Are you ticklish?

I was just thinking about the fact that me and my ENFP brother can both switch off our reactions when someone attempts to tickle us.

I mean if someone tries to tickle me, for the first 2 - 3 seconds it feels ticklish, but then I switch if off and it no longer feels ticklish, just feels like someone is poking and prodding me.

My brother also does this, I've tried tickling him and he laughed and then switched it off.

Not only can I switch it off, but I can also change the sensation it gives me, so instead of just numbing the reaction I can make it a sensual experience too, so that instead of it feeling like prodding it can turn me on. My brother says he can also do this, so is it an NF thing?

Can you control your reaction to being tickled?

Re OP: I can to a degree... just not enough against the really determined :steam:

I have devised an excellent defence system when attacked however; I immediately drop to the ground making chortling noises, once on the ground I curl up in a little ball and commence squealing things like 'no', 'stop', 'I hate you' and so on. Itís pretty effective.

You know what's pretty effective against me? getting violent.

LOL some people get really violent when you try to tickle them, and moody, LORD does that ever stop me in my tracks.

Jeez people, it's light hearted fun, it's not like I;m trying to kill you or rape you..........yet. :rolli:

Holy shit yes. My stomach, and my neck. My whole body locks up and I just start seizing to get the person away. I am not responsible for the harm my flailing limbs cause. You asked for it.

Yeah, I'm pretty much full of fail when friends attack me in any way, my automatic response is laughter, so much laughter that a five year old could whoop my ass

Yes, very. Except my feet, my brother tried too many times and I became desensitised to it.

But my sides are very sensitive. I mean I don't mind the first couple of second of being tickled, but quickly after that, it gets very very hard to breathe because I'm laughing so hard. It's the kind of laughing where you could pass out if you didn't stop.

Pretty much everywhere else is ticklish, except I don't laugh. I just squirm a lot and try to get away.

I used to be ticklish as it happens, and I used to flail about dangerously, so my uncle tied me up, I tried to fight him off but I was only 8, the whole family thought it was hilarious to see me trussed up and tickled for close to an hour.

I've never been ticklish since lol.

What I propose here is we meet up, and I truss you up and help train you to switch it off too.
