Default Easy Ways to Make Money Through Bets

    So, I have a confession.

When I was very young, I memorized the alphabet backwards because I thought it was stupid that all those letters had to be in the order of that song. And I genuinely think there is some physiological reason re: the vowel/consonant shape progression that it's accomplished more quickly saying it backward.
I always win against people when I "Alphabet Race" them (they say it forward, I say it backward).

I have made serious money off of this throughout my lifetime, just betting someone a dollar that I can beat them saying it backwards.

Does anyone else have any ideas on how to make some easy money?

Find friends that are into sports and always support certain teams. Find the spreads online and when applicable, bet them that their team will lose, then cover the bet online.

This also can work with sport pools if you are willing to spend the time.

Too bad I was never into sports.

Hmmm. I'm into sports personally, but not watching other people play sports. But if this could be exploited for personal gain, I mean, I do enjoy the concept of athletics...

Can you explain this further? You're talking to a person who has never been in a casino/never bought a lottery ticket/knows nothing about bets other than "i bet you..."

Well, in concept what you do is find someone and bet then at even odds, such as "I bet you 20 bucks team (x) will win"! Then you go home and bet that team (x) will lose, but at different odds, let's say 2:1 odds (ie: you bet 15 dollars that they will lose, or team (y) will win).

    The end result is;

    a) Team x Wins. You collect 20 from your friend but lose 15 to the "casino".
    b) Team x loses. You lose 20 to your friend but gain 30 from the "casino".

The reason this works is because you normally bet even odds with friends when the true odds are very different.

Overall, there are two ways to win when it comes to gambling:

    1. cheat
    2. run the games

I personally prefer #2, but either one works really.

oh, and download the show "The Real Hustle"

    It's entertaining.

If you learn how to count cards in blackjack, then you can win money consistantly until the house finds out.

I thought this only worked when the cards weren't shuffled? Probably isn't very practical anymore, but it couldn't hurt to learn.
