    Default The Coon

    You all remember The Coon.
He was a man who commanded respect. Literally.

While his charactership wasn't very well known, (or even well developed) previously, he does indeed have a character.
    Because he is a character.

Here is where we come to watch him as he... does shit.

Everyone is free to interpret at will, or suggest ideas for The Coon (he's listening), or whatever you want.
You can even criticize him if you like -- Just remember, he is listening.

If you do criticize him, just always remember to appreciate him.
(Yes, he told me to say that.)

    --------------

I haven't decided yet how often to update. Or whether to continue this here.
I'll probably get him his own site.

My contact managed to spot and photograph The Coon recently.
As it turns out, he's been disguising himself as a panda/trashcan.

This is a particularly tricky veil as it is commonly known biologic fact that a Panda turned inside out is a Coon.

    In his immobile disguised state.

    In his normal state.

The only reason The Coon was spotted was because the trashcan disguise renders him without potential for movement. While he's unhidden he can move, actually rather quickly, so my contact had to act quickly.

    Exclamation Imposter!

Recently (3.18.2009) the popular TV cartoon South Park showcased a character named "The Coon" who, as it turns out, was Eric Cartman, one of the lead characters, as seen here.

Resident SimulatedWorld had the following to say:

    Check your chronology.

    South Park: The Coon
    The Coon - 183. Season: 13 Episode: 2 First Aired: 3/18/2009

Here's a screenshot -- check the date created.

    • In further reference I defer you to my album, where I posted the first comic strip including the coon. Check the date there.
    • In case that's not enough I am quoted on the day of The purer Coon's inception as saying "Appreciate the Coon." in the wall post at 3:00 AM.
    • This very thread.

Are all evidence of the originality of my work.

It is an odd coincidence that throughout the entire episode, Cartman (dressed up as The Coon) is in constant search of appreciation, I'll grant that, but if anyone's in violation of intellectual property, it's the writers of South Park, who 27 days proceeding my invention of this character aired their watered down, lame, half-character version of The Coon. After all, in addition to stealing my character they did rob the theme of Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan, 2008) in what they're passing off as a parody.

Legal action to be taken against the writers of South Park is being debated.
Collaboration with Nolan is probable, but still only a prospect.
Will post updates as substantial information arives.

I just saw that South Park episode last night, and I remembered that you had some weird Coon thing going on (which I never understood), so I figured you were a fan of the episode. Now I come to this thread, and I'm thoroughly confused.

Correct me if I have the facts incorrect - 1) You created a 3-frame online comic strip on TypologyCentral.com called "The Coon", 2) South Park aired "The Coon" episode AFTER you created your comic strip, 3) You think they stole "The Coon" from you.

    Hmmm....

    P.S. That sucks.
